Experienced squad to take on leg six of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup

The sixth event in the 2017 FEI Nations Cup series takes place at the popular CHIO Aachen World Equestrian Festival in Germany on 19 – 23 July, and British Eventing are pleased to announce the five riders selected to represent Great Britain.

In alphabetical order, they are;

Alexander Bragg and Mrs Sally Ellicott’s 13 year old gelding Zargreb

Piggy French with Ms Jayne McGivern’s 10 year old gelding Quarrycrest Echo

Pippa Funnell and her own and Filippo Friedenberg’s 12 year old gelding Billy The Biz

Tom McEwen on his own, Mrs Jane Inns and Mrs Alison McEwen’s Toledo de Kerser

Oliver Townend and Karyn Shuter and Mrs Angela Hislop’s 10 year old gelding Ballaghmor Class, with Cooley SRS, also owned by Mrs Angela Hislop, in direct reserve

In reserve, Tina Cook with Mrs Pip Waits, Miss Ailsa Wates and Equine Aqua Training’s Calvino II and Nicola Wilson on Mr and Mrs James and Jo Lambert’s Bulana.

The experienced squad will be looking to build on the strong start for GB in the 2017 CIC3* series which currently sees them at the top of the table on 330 points. Before the German leg of the nine event competition the team of; Justine Dutton riding Jak My Style, Emily Llewellyn and Mrs Camilla Harries’ Emirati Nightsky, Matthew Heath and his own and Mrs Hazel Livesey’s One of a Kind II and Nicky Roncoroni with Lorna McWilliam and Mrs Janey Roncoroni’s Watts Burn, head to The Plains in the USA on 8th – 9th July.
