Firle being a house of extreme beauty provides both a wonderful setting for the horse trials, as well as a big attraction for crowds. A beautifully built cross country course, with a fun but busy atmosphere.

I thought the xc was beautifully built and presented and rode very well. They made good use of the grounds and it was a true test. Show jumping here is always influential with the stands, but it’s great preparation for going up the levels. Dressage arenas were good but warm up a little small. Ground for all phases was perfect.
