Well worth the long drive from ‘The South’ although can’t recommend entering horses in all three classes as run on the same day, which was a brain strain! Dressage non atmospheric (in a good way), Show jumping got a little deep (unsurprising given monsoon in build up) and was close enough to a lake with swans for the novices to be excited! XC was super Ian Stark track, which required a decent jumper but gave a great feel on a bold horse. Will definitely be heading back.
Couple of years since we last visited Allerton Park Horse trials. Lovely setting & venue really enjoyed the new layout of the cross country course.
