Dear-Father-Christmas

We all like to dream, and the Pros are no different.  Here are some of their wishes for Christmas this year followed by ours.

“For Christmas, I would like a indoor lunge arena. I like to lunge my horses and wen we are all riding in the indoor in the winter it gets rather crowded.  Plus we got a lot of young horses that need backing and its great to back horses in a small area with no corners”

“Simple! A lovely relaxing beach holiday for me please”

“I’d love to be kitted out in Alessandro Albanese gear. I was kindly given a new SJ jacket by them and it fits to perfection so I’d love the tailcoat to go with it! I’ve been on the circuit a while…and so has my current tailcoat!”

“Firstly I would love an owner to buy Dinky Inky so I can keep the ride! Then a new flat screen TV as mine is almost an antique!

And finally, a hand held Dyson so I can keep my flat clean!”

Harriet & Sarah’s Wish Lists

 sarah-204x300-1

Sarah:

A Wish List is all well and good – but it is a WISH list and I was always taught to be careful of what you wish for! Most of the things on my list are lottery winning purchases* but a girl can dream!

800017E03

Hermes soft brush with orange handle £90 – eye wateringly expensive for a brush I know, but it is incredibly soft and I wouldn’t be buying it plus it’s not as bonkers as the £180 hoof pick!  (*Come on Lottery – it could be me!)

 HG18155

Thelwell Loo Seat £44.95 (grayscountrygifts.com). This would be amazing for the tack room loo!

 rug-drier-3-rail-side-290x210

3 Bar Eco Centaur Rug Drier £649 – who wouldn’t want one!  A single bar is also available for £299. [*All my wishes would come true to find this under the tree!]

Anything from Massimo Dutti’s 14/15 FW Equestrian Collection –  jaw droppingly gorgeous but a bit OTT for the school run!

A pile of wonderful, soft hydrocotton White Co towels to wrap up in after a long soak – our towels have seen better days and these would be the ultimate treat. From £16

I collect Emma Bridgewater pottery and this new design – Christmas Rose – is enchanting with its depiction of a deep red Hellebore. There’s just about enough room on the dresser for a pretty mini-mug candle! £27.50 for a boxed set of 2.

Harriet:

Wishes can come true so I figure aim high!  My wish list is made up of goodies that I really do think are totally brilliant, designed and made by people who really do care and want the best for themselves and those all around.

rsz_balance_cavesson

 The Balance ‘Magic’ lunge cavesson

The design is based on what is known as a Wels Cavesson, which allows it to be used in conjunction with a bridle and bit in such a way as avoids interference with the bit. The strap that goes under the horse’s lower jaw can be dropped down below the bit, much like a dropped nose band, or used as a straight, ‘cavesson’ nose band

I have coveted this for so long as like all things with Balance the horse comes first.
