The Gaitpost’s Top 10 Shopping Destinations at Badminton

As we all know the shopping at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials is as big an attraction as the 4* track. Rows and rows of temptation await your credit card!

We’ve chosen our favourite stands to make a bee-line for this week, from the tasty to the tantalising.

A multi award winning product that melts in the mouth, Inverawe Smokehouses, warrant holder to Her Majesty The Queen and a Rick Stein favourite, are passionate about slow smoking over oak logs. Their team of dedicated, highly skilled craftspeople produce a consistently outstanding smoked fish that along with sumptuous salads and sandwiches will be available on the stand at Badminton again this year.

Funky readers bring a fresh new quality and innovation to reading glasses and sun reading glasses. The styles are European with brands from France, Germany and Italy. Funky readers are also launching their own brand in two styles for the first time at Badminton.

This year’s official merchandise from Joules is the cutest yet! Definitely save some pennies for some souvenir shopping here but don’t panic, it’s not just for the smalls. We’ve got our eyes on the official waterproof jacket and can you ever have enough hoodies?!

Our absolute faves for all the pampered pooches out there, Charley Chau are back for the second year and will be judging our Gallery of Canine Companions that we will be snapping all week. Take your faithful friend along to their stand to see their gorgeous collection of luxury dog beds and accessories.

The EquiAmi training aid has been designed and developed to work in harmony with the horse and is used my many leading riders including Harry Meade and Jonty Evans. The unique patented design places the horse inside a self-centring loop and as it is not fixed, the horse is discouraged from leaning.

Who can forget the incredible XC round that Ben Hobday, Mulry’s Error’s and Willberry completed last year? Whilst we are all so sad that Ben & Mulry didn’t get the call up this year, a visit to the Willberry stand is a must to see all the tempting merchandise including hoodies, wristbands, mugs and a few surprises!
