Marlborough eventing duo Tim and Jonelle Price on board their advanced horses Court Jester and Bango respectively were promoting a special lunch in aid of Prospect Hospice on Saturday 11 July at the St James’s Place Wealth Management Barbury International Horse Trials.

This year the Barbury International Horse Trials has pledged its support to Prospect Hospice and its care for local people.  The lunch will take place in the exclusive Barbury Club marquee to help raise funds for the charity and its care for people in Wiltshire.

The equestrian spectacular, which take place from 9-12 July on the Marlborough Downs will feature over 1000 horse and rider combinations competing.  Prospect Hospice supports a community of 300,000 people in Marlborough, Swindon and the surrounding areas.

Tim and Jonelle’s stables are based at Mildenhall just outside Marlborough and they are currently ranked fifth and ninth respectively in the FEI world event rider rankings.  They both plan to compete at Barbury in July and commented:

“Needless to say Barbury Horse Trials is one of our favourite events.  Not only is it on our doorstep, it provides four days of very competitive eventing and is a premier sporting event for Marlborough and Wiltshire.   It’s great Barbury has teamed up with Prospect Hospice, who also have such a significant impact on the Marlborough community and beyond”.

Sheryl Crouch from Prospect Hospice said: “We are offering a superb opportunity for people to experience all the thrills of the Barbury Horse Trials, and to enjoy a delicious lunch, while supporting their local hospice – just go to our website to book.”

She added “ It has been a pleasure to welcome Jonelle and Tim to Prospect Hospice, and we wish them all the best for a successful trials at Barbury next month. Once again we would like to thank the organisers and participants for choosing to support Prospect Hospice at this year’s Barbury International Horse Trials.”

Tickets for the Prospect Hospice lunch at Barbury (Sat 11 July) cost £50 per person and can be booked at www.prospect-hospice.net/Supporter/Barbury-Trials-Lunch.  The lunch includes entry to the horse trials, VIP parking, a two course buffet lunch and half a bottle of wine per person.
