The Great British Mare and Foal Show to be held at Addington Manor in Buckinghamshire on the 2nd September is the first national show of its kind in the UK. It covers all studbooks and prizes and sponsorship across the classes will total nearly £3,000.
Show organiser Lynne Crowden said:
“We are very excited about the Supreme Futurity Foal championship. The Great British Mare and Foal show has been set up to support breeders of all studbooks. There are classes for mares and foals bred for show-jumping, dressage, eventing, endurance, sports ponies and heritage horses. The heritage horses really are the backbone of the history of breeding in our country and cover breeds including Cleveland Bays, Clydesdales and Irish Draughts.”
Entries will close on Monday 29th August, although foals taking part in the final few Futurity venues will be permitted to make late entries.
