5 Christmas table hacks

I’m a sucker for a good Pinterest sesh for inspiration and love updating The Gaitpost’s boards with ideas especially when it comes to easy hacks for adding some extra wow factor to your Christmas table.

Here are some of my faves that I’ve recently saved and have been sharing over on my Instagram Stories. I’m hoping to try a few in order to make mealtimes a little bit more special with some home made finishing touches that add an extra bit of sparkle.

1.  Upcycle old bottles with some ivy and herbs to make into pretty candle holders.

2. Such a lovely idea using nuts to create a candle display. I’d be worried about the hot wax spilling but it does look so pretty.

3. As equestrians, we know the power of Epsom salts after a hard day in the saddle but how about repurposing them to make these snowy candle jars, which would look lovely down the centre of the table with maybe a sprig of holly poked through the string or use as a name place table setting with a little label?

4. I have always wanted to try this! It’s so simple but would look lovely with a red and white Christmas theme (one that I am trying this year as we always do purple!)

5. Repurpose some glasses with some floating candles, spices and fruit. Would also look pretty along a mantelpiece or on the drinks table.
