Put this in your diary as it is a not to be missed solo show of equestrian artist Freddy Paske’s wonderful work, which records his impressions of his travels over the last two years in Spain, Dubai, and Switzerland as well as conveying a sense of excitement nearer home on the racecourses of Epsom, Aintree and Leopardstown, County Dublin.
A former cavalry officer in the Light Dragoons, Freddy’s work is distinguished by his bold composition and brilliant colours using a wide variety of techniques.
Freddy Paske was awarded a major art scholarship to Harrow School in 1999. After academic and art studies at Oxford Brookes and Leeds University, and a year at Sandhurst (2009), he served as an officer in the Light Dragoons, the historic cavalry regiment, for seven years, including deployment in Afghanistan.
His career as an artist began in 2015, following a sell-out exhibition in 2014 of his sketches from Afghanistan. He has exhibited in London, Salisbury, Hampshire. And Knoxville, USA. He worked with The Household Cavalry, Tattersalls and the Jockey Club as resident artist producing work for his first near sell-out show at Osborne Studio Gallery in 2017.
The solo show, Racing around the World: Impressions of the International Horse, takes place from 4th – 21st December 2019 at the Osborne Studio Gallery, Belgravia
