Organisers for the popular event, which is staged on picturesque west Somerset farmland near Taunton, have added an extra day with the Monday’s classes running straight after Blenheim International Horse Trials.
Organiser Richard Mitford-Slade said:
“It’s a very popular event so adding the extra day made sense. Improving and updating year on year is tantamount to ensuring we keep attracting the competitors and it’s paying off. It’s a great opportunity to come along and watch some great competition.”
Some of the sport’s most high profile names will be in action including local rider Alex Bragg who is sponsored by the venue.
“It’s a beautifully run event and I always run several horse there. The owners’ hospitality is exceptional which means all my owners can come along and have a great day out, while its fantastic for all my horses, whether they are the young horses or more experienced. With the showjumping set in the main arena, with great viewing, there’s always a good atmosphere too.”
The competition enjoys strong links with its sponsors including title sponsor Equestrian Surfaces, and classes include the prestigious Mitsubishi Motors Cup BE90 Regional Final.
Each year investment is made into the course to ensure plenty of variety and recent additions include a tree-lined avenue and water splash.
Gates are open to spectators from 9am and entry is free. Refreshments are available as well as a number of tradestands.
