The Fashionista Pup: The Life of Brian Part 8

Brian, our roving rover sniffs out the best buys for discerning pooches in his dedicated blog to all things dog. From field (and stable) to city, our pooch on a mission to discover the best products for doggies with style.

This month we see the arrival of London Fashion Week so, I’ve gone stepping out onto the catwalk (Did someone say CAT?!) to show all your fashion conscious pooches the biggest trends to wear for fall (that means cold weather)

THE SPORTS LUXE TREND

Designer sportswear is the IN thing for autumn and head designer for Jolie Dog, Joanna Wheeler is a fashion designer on a mission to create on trend fashion for dogs. This pakamac rain coat is the perfect outer wear for me and my long hair for winter.

Ideal for dogs that love the outdoors but don’t love getting wet, this lightweight mac comes in a matching pouch my human can pop in her pocket and is really well designed, with a belly band for splash protection and a stand-up collar to cover my neck.

You can also have an optional harness hole which is perfect for those walks in bad weather. Also, every package goes out with a tasty dog treat and £1 from every sale goes to the Dogs Trust too!

RRP: £29

THE SEVENTIES TREND

The ‘70’s is back for autumn and let me tell you this paisley dog bandana ticks this trend perfectly without screaming ‘fancy dress’.

It is as beautiful to wear as it is to looks and comes beautifully packaged in their designer cardboard envelope. Incorporating a gorgeous Liberty Print fabric in its design, the colour will match anything my human decides to wear, so that makes us both happy.

VINTAGE FLORAL PRINTS

OK so florals are everywhere, but for me, it needs to be subtle. This chambray shirt with its floral print certainly gets my attention.

Easy to wear and styled in soft cotton, this is a shirt that will take you from the runway to running away with your inner fashionista. Cut to flatter, this shirt will have the girls barking for more.

RRP: $36

THE STATEMENT NECKLACE

Now for any dogs out there wishing to express themselves when it comes to wearing the right accessories (forget John Paw Gotcha or Paw-da), we are talking serious style with the Growlees dog charm collection.

Choose from a whole array of snappy statements and for the fashionista, I’ve chosen ‘I don’t walk, I vogue’ because quite frankly this exactly how I strut myself when I’m looking dapper.  Other fashion slogans including ‘Best In Show’, ‘More Rah Rah Than A Chihauauaha’ and ‘Jimmy Chewer.’

RRP: £10

Matching slogan T-shirts also available for humans! (pawfect for Christmas!)

THE QUILT TREND

Quilting is a huge story for autumn, and this gorgeous bespoke coat from All Paws By Alice is made to order and completely handmade by designer Alice herself.

Styled from a water resistant quilted outer fabric with a cool vintage inspired print lining it’s so comfortable to wear, and I love the easy to fix belly band, which is perfect for easy dressing when I’m leaping all over the place in excitement about going for a walk!!!  They also do custom sizing, and they also do matching accessories too.

RRP £30.00
