She said:
“Having ridden at the higher levels, I understand how the costs can mount up, and when you factor in the entry fee with stabling and diesel it can be an expensive weekend. This is just a small way that Bicton Arena can help to reduce the cost and we hope that people take advantage of it.”
A hog roast and music on Saturday, August 20 will be held in aid of The Eventing Family with proceeds donated to its named charities of Hannah’s Wilberry Wonder Pony, Cancer Research UK, the Spinal Research, Teenage Cancer Trust and Motor Neurone Disease Association. There will be a welcome drinks reception for all, and those wishing to stay on for the Hog Roast and music can buy tickets costing £10 per person.
The Horse Trials main sponsors are Rathbones, Equine H and Empire Coach Builders and the event will be supported by Kastner Volvo who provide courtesy cars.
