Both Kevin and Emma are regulars on the Australian National Squad, with Emma recently representing her country in Aachen for the Nations Cup with her ride Fernhill Tabasco.
Based at their yard in Surrey, Kevin and Emma have a string of exciting horses from young horses up to 4* level, competing at some of the leading events around the world.
Competition horses need a clean and dust-free environment to live in, keeping them healthy so they can be trained to the best of their ability. It is therefore extremely important to take every possible precaution against the spread of bugs and bacteria.
The team at Stable Shield has approached this by tackling prevention rather than cure. This removes the emphasis on drugs and antibiotics, instead focusing on reducing the initial spread of bacteria within the equine world.
In doing so, they have developed Stable Shield Antibacterial Paint, a water-based non-toxic paint that can be applied to stables to create a fully disinfected yard. The paint prevents the growth of bacteria by up to 99.8% on all applied surfaces. This in turn creates a clean environment which is crucial to help horses with their respiratory system and overall wellbeing.
McNab Eventing is delighted to join the Stable Shield team and represent such a ground breaking product.
“It is very reassuring to know that our horses will be protected against the spread of harmful bacteria, Emma and I can’t wait to help educate horse owners about the importance of providing a clean stable environment,” said Kevin.
Added David Jeffries of Stable Shield:
“It is extremely important to take every possible precaution against the spread of bugs and bacteria. Riders like Kevin and Emma work extremely hard to get to the top of their sport and if a horse falls ill at a crucial point it can be so disappointing and costly. We all know the horrific effect black mould would have on our own health if it grew in our bedrooms – it’s no different in your horses stable.
“We very much look forward to working with McNab Eventing and hope to encourage more people within the industry to recognise the benefits of antibacterial stable paint.”
