Paddock life mares and foals
Solo Exhibition From 8th November To 3rd December At The Osborne Studio Gallery.
The artist Nichola Eddery (born 1982), is equestrian royalty. Her father Pat was eleven times champion jockey, with fourteen classic wins, and her mother Carolyn a champion amateur. Highlight of her show will be a tribute to Pat, who died last November: a portrait of him on Grundy, ‘superstar horse’ who gave Pat his first Derby winner in 1975.

Pat on Grundy
Since 2001 Nichola has been studying traditional Old Master techniques guided by illustrious teachers in Italy, France and America. Many of the pieces in her new show are inspired by works dating back to the Parthenon frieze, Da Vinci, Stubbs, Gericault, Degas, and Munnings.
She lives in Newmarket, and chooses subjects from her equine surroundings: the National Stud, gallops, and the Rowley Mile racecourse. Her collectors include princes of the Saudi Royal family, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani, and wealthy British lovers of horse racing.
