Susan Rose Fine Bone China

jockey mugs1PS.jpIf you are looking for a unique and extra special gift this Christmas, look no further than Susan Rose’s beautiful fine bone china, which can be ‘bespoked’ with anything: your horse, home, XC or racing colours, weddings, school or hunt memorabilia and so on.

We especially like Susan’s Mug Full of History, which came about  after The Jockey Club sent out a round robin in 2013 asking for ideas for prizes for their Winners at Exeter Racecourse for the Jump season. Susan suggested the Mug Full of History which they jumped at.

It was in 2013 that Susan developed The Mug Full of History, which is a fun and original concept that can be applied to many different institutions. Susan designs a mug that is unique and personal to each client who commissions one.  Schools, Universities, Sporting Events, Business Companies, important Anniversaries have all been ‘mugged’

This lovely 1 pint mug looks wonderful with all individual details relevant to the event it is being designed for – contemporary and delightful.  All that is needed is for Susan to be supplied with a list of important information relevant to each unique commission and she will pull the design together.

The china is handmade in Stoke on Trent and each piece is handled 12 times before being decorated with Susan’s unique Mug of History design. Made from 100% English Fine Bone China. Dishwasher Proof. It comes in a lovely cream presentation box.

Dimensions: The 1 Pint Tankard Mug measures 13.5 cms tall.

About Susan:

Having grown up in rural Bedfordshire, Susan Rose now lives and works from a renovated mill on the river Nene in Northamptonshire. Since her childhood she has been passionate about the countryside and rural life, her home providing constant inspiration for her designs with a love of history and nature.  Her love of bird watching, photography, knitting, gardening and animal husbandry have become a way of life, which over the years have become inextricably mixed with her art.

During the 1980s Susan worked as a freelance designer for organisations such as Golfar and Gughes, Sloane Square Tiles, The National Trust, and General Trading Company. In 1982, having obtained a BA Hons in Graphic Design from the Central School of Art and Design in London, following a Foundation Course at the Chelsea School of Art, she went on to develop her knowledge of watercolour and typography with a loyalty and passion for the Stoke on Trent English Bone china industry.

Susan is now focusing her talents on designing and promoting English Bone china with a contemporary edge. She has built a business where pride is taken in developing individual requirements to produce memorable, thought provoking and very special gifts for every occasion.

Susan has developed her china range into 3 separate areas.  Susan’s own designs, personalised china and bespoke china.
