Top Belgian showjumpers Olivier and Nicola Philippaerts will appear in Horse & Country TV’s hit series, Yard Talk.
At the age of 21, the twin sons of top showjumper Ludo Philippaerts have already shot to the top of the sport. Their talent was soon noticed by clothing company H&M, who invited them to be part of Team H&M alongside Swedish showjumpers Malin Baryard-Johnsson and Peder Fredericson.
Producer Lisen Lindahl, from Titan in Sweden, spent the day at the Philippaerts’ beautiful Dorperheide Stables in Belgium, where Olivier and Nicola spoke frankly about their showjumping family, their top horses and their career highlights.
“Visiting the impressive Dorperheide stables was a privilege,” says Lisen. “The brothers were both keen to let us into their world, and they shared their thoughts candidly about growing up in the equestrian world with a very famous father, and what it takes to get to the top.”
The show, which was recorded in English, will be broadcast across Horse & Country’s network in the UK and Ireland, Sweden, The Netherlands and Australia. Yard Talk: The Philippaerts premieres on Sunday 5 July at 8.30pm.
Previous top names to appear in Horse & Country TV’s Yard Talk series include showjumper Geoff Billington, polo player Mark Tomlinson, dressage rider Richard Davison, show producer Katie Jerram and eventer Tina Cook.
H&C is available on Sky 253 in the UK and Ireland, on cable and IPTV in The Netherlands and Sweden, and over the internet via H&C Play www.play.horseandcountry.tv
