The National Saddle Centre are now in their third year of sponsorship of the BE100u18 level Championships which celebrate the finest grassroots level competitors in this age category. Jo Beavis, Director of the National Saddle Centre who specialise in saddle fitting, commented:
“I am delighted to be supporting these Championships for a third year and very excited to see what the new venue, cross country course and competition have in store, as well as congratulating the 2016 team and individual title winners in person. We also look forward to welcoming people on to the National Saddle Centre trade-stand at the event.”
School of 2015
Chairman of BEu18 Coordinators, Jane Peters shared her delight at how many riders who competed in last year’s Championships (at their former location of Weston Park) have stepped up the ranks this season:
“Last year’s BE100u18 Championship Individual title holder Sadie Abel is stepping up this year to contest the 1* competition following a successful year since her star performance at Weston last year. Another rider who has had a great season since then is Heidi Coy who is returning for the 1* class where she will be aiming to beat her fourth place in 2015.
A number of last year’s 1* Championship competitors also have really impressed the British Team selectors since Weston, three of whom who have been long-listed for the Racesafe British Junior Team for the FEI Junior European Eventing Championships for Juniors this September. Those riders are: Thomas Hawke, Bubby Upton and Izzy White.
Frickley’s event organisers are working really hard to make this a really special occasion for everyone involved. The cross country course is going to be amazing – internationally renowned course designer Mark Phillips has been at Frickley very recently making his final touches to the course.”
