William Fox-Pitt: Let’s focus on Rio now

Despite horrendous traffic en route to Wiltshire this morning for the announcement of the equestrian teams heading to Rio to represent Great Britain, we made it in the nick of time to watch the riders accept their formal selection papers and face the assembled media.

Would he or wouldn’t he?

Well, to everyone’s delight when the press releases were distributed this morning, Team GB stalwart, 4 time Olympian and 5 time World Number One, William Fox-Pitt had made the cut and will be the only selected rider with Olympic experience, bar travelling reserve Pippa Funnell.

Joining William will be Izzy Taylor, Gemma Tattersall and our host for the day, Kitty King.

Eleanor Kelly caught up with William about the road to recovery leading to his selection and the team committed on getting him & Chilli to Rio.
