Given the spectacular location of the horse trials which overlook the breathtaking Welland Valley, an increasing number of visitors choose to take advantage of the Caravan and Camping opportunities.

Spaces are limited, with site fees starting at £50 which includes weekend entry for two people. All information regarding camping and ticket purchase is available on the website.

The usual array of event classes will undoubtedly be well subscribed, amateur riders rubbing shoulders with Olympic, World and European medal winners.

Thanks to the continuing support of watchmakers Robert Loomes & Co from Stamford, one rider will again be going home with a handmade English watch worth over £10,000. This has yet to be awarded to a British rider – Irish Olympian Austin O’Connor was the first to snaffle this great prize, followed by eventing legend Sir Mark Todd, while last year it was Australia’s Bill Levett who was the lucky recipient.

Following on from the enormous success of last year’s Pony Club Team Showjumping where 99 teams battled it out for glory, Riding Clubs will make their debut this year. The Pony Club will be back, as will British Showjumping, Arena Eventing and the prestigious Burghley Young Event Horse qualifying classes.

Trade stand bookings are flooding in, promising a great variety of retail therapy opportunities to suit all budgets. There will also be the usual array of food outlets and bars so whether you bring a picnic or not, there is no reason to be hungry or unrefreshed.
