December flew by as always with a brilliant Christmas and enjoying some hunting, as well as catching up with friends as well! New Year was brought in in style at Ben and Emma’s brilliant wedding, the BEST fun!
And now we are head on into a new year! After Christmas a sudden change of pace occurs with horses returning each week and lots of training and competitions planned.
I am thrilled with how all the horses have come back post their winter break. They are feeling and looking great a real credit to my fantastic team at home! On that note we had a great night at the British Breeders dinner in London where Janet my head girl won the Groom of the Year award! It was so deserved and I am just so thrilled that all her endless hard work was recognised through this brilliant award!!
The Eventing Podcast has also been adding lots of excitement and amusement, it has been lovely to get a mention from the very kind team but I just hope their not jinxing things, I’ve definitely got a lot to live up to!!!!
January has also been busy catching up with sponsors and I am thrilled that Charles Owen will also be supporting me this year with their hats, not only super stylish but ultimate safety so I feel very lucky!
I also went to BETA (The British Equestrian Trade Association Show) for the first time with Noble Outfitters and had a very interesting day catching up and chatting to many different, interesting people!
We have also been working hard with the horses at home! I have some lovely young horses this year so we have been busy taking them out and about jumping courses, as well as to shows as well. The older ones have been also enjoying dressage and jumping lessons.
I am hugely excited about the 2017 season and have already started making some plans. We have some lovely horses and I am very much looking forward to seeing how they progress. I can’t believe its only a month away until we kick off with the usual Oasby! Fingers crossed 2017 is one to remember!
