Friday Finds: Keeping cool

Cor blimey – what a sizzler this week has been. We are loving the heat but it has resulted in me being less productive and on go-slow mode. Shouldn’t complain but the admin list is growing with a deluge of end of term stuff and new school forms to be completed. Roll on the holidays and the end of home schooling!

Here’s our pick of Friday Finds for you this week…

First up is this fun unicorn lolly kit from John Lewis. We have a set on the go using elderflower juice and they are lovely and refreshing and won’t ruin meals if the kids eat between meals.

How lovely is this mosaic sequin denim jacket from Cat In The Hood that can be personalised? It comes in kids sizes from age 3-13 but they also do an adult range as well (camou fans will love their parka jackets!)

Inspired by a sign at one of the recent Black Lives Matter protests, 100% of the profits of these limited edition  ‘Racism Ain’t Cowboy’ t-shirts will go to equestrian access charities including the Ebony Horse Club in London, The Urban Equestrian Academy in Leicester and the Compton Cowboys Jr Posse in California as well as buying a book for Saddle Up and Read, a North Carolina-based literacy programme that gets kids in the saddle and in the library.

These 100% kikoy cotton shorts from Bushbells are fab as they can double up as PJs and are lovely and cool on balmy nights. My kids love them and they come in lots of fun colours for boys and girls and there are grown up versions too.

If you haven’t come across The Alexa Edit yet, you are in for a real treat. They are my go-to for gifts but I always end up adding a little something for me to the basket! They have a wonderful jewellery collection and these cocktail rings are totally gorgeous AND fit all sizes thanks to a clever stretchy band.

Last but definitely not least is this gorgeous silk vest from Bricks & Stitches, which is perfect for this steamy weather.  Becky’s insta stories are great for tempting me with her latest additions and I’ve bought several of these in different colours and they wash brilliantly. Be sure to look at her dungaree collection – we love the linen ones but they don’t hang around for long.
