Many are disengaged and/or not attending school. Horse riding and associated clubroom activities help to transform the children into happy confident young people who are positively engaged in the outside world.
Forelock Books’ owner Michelle Charman said:
“Ride High is a truly inspirational charity that does so much to help children who are all disadvantaged in some way helping to transform their lives. Books can also broaden a child’s outlook and horizon and help develop confidence and independence and we are delighted to be working with them and giving people the chance to give the gift of a book.”
Marketing and Fundraising Manager, Helen Dixon said:
“The children that come to Ride High are desperately sad and without the support of Ride High they have few or no prospects of a healthy and happy future. At Ride High we offer our children the opportunity to develop new skills and gain confidence; we provide consistency, safety and security and work with them over the long term to help them rebuild their lives. Our children would absolutely love to receive a beautiful Forelock storybook for Christmas.”
Forelook Books has a number of titles that appeal to all age groups and those wanting to support Ride High can purchase a book on line, using the code RideHigh to receive a 10 per cent discount. Forelock Books will then gift wrap and send the book to Ride High.
Forelock Books will be on stand G20 at Olympia horse show, Dec 13 – 19.
