Hickstead are looking for a keen student to undertake a work experience placement with the Press and Marketing teams at Hickstead.
Hickstead are looking for a student to undertake a 12 to 16 week work experience placement this summer at the All England Jumping Course, Hickstead.
Priority will be given to those currently in full-time education, whose course requires them to complete a work placement, though other students/graduates seeking an internship position will be considered. Candidates must be able to commit to at least 25hrs per week each week, and 40hrs during the shows themselves.
This placement will give the student wide-ranging experience of working for a major equestrian event. The focus will be on press and marketing, though there will be an opportunity to assist the other departments during the duration of the placement.
The intern will work predominantly with the Press and Marketing teams in the run up to and throughout Hickstead’s two major international events, the Hickstead Derby Meeting (21-25 June) and the Longines Royal International Horse Show (25-30 July), and will spend both weeks of the shows helping as part of the Press Office team. The internship should last from May to August, with some flexibility regarding start and end dates.
The candidate should live within commuting distance of Hickstead in West Sussex, though there is the possibility of accommodation for the right person.

Managing photo and video content
Online updates
Basic video editing/uploads
Filing press cuttings and coverage
Assisting with sponsorship requests
Dealing with enquiries
Basic clerical duties
The ideal candidate will have:
Good knowledge of equestrian sport, especially showjumping/showing
Excellent spelling and grammar
Superb social media skills
Basic understanding of video editing
The ability to multi-task
Some reporting/media experience
Great computer skills
