June 2017’s Super Seven things to do in London

Pinch punch first of the month… and you need waking up because London gets busier in June than any other month, and we love it. How great to have so much choice in keeping busy, lots to do with food & lots of culture. There is also happiness on the river, with Henley for a wonderful day out, or you can even book to watch a movie now whilst sailing down the Thames.

London Food Month.  If you are worried about being bikini ready (I certainly am) there is still lots to enjoy about this festival, with a ton of healthy options. There are individual restaurants participating (booking necessary) or buy tickets for Kensington Night Market. Tickets for the Night Market can be found HERE.

Carnaby Street Eat on 3 June for taster dishes & food trucks out on the street.  It’s a food carnival and brilliant fun.

London Festival of Architecture 1-30 June. There are over 400 events happening in London, so if you love building, inspired by buildings click & see what could inspire you.  This will be great for teens.

V&A Exhibition Road. As you all know I work there, and I’m passionate about it. 30 June they finally open the doors to the new entrance on Exhibition Road, and will celebrate with a week long REVEAL Festival.  I have heard the initial proposals, and it is going to be brilliant – and I’m not even talking about the new entrance which is out of this world.

Movies on the Thames.  Yes! Time Out have set this up (brilliant idea btw) to enjoy movies on the River Thames. This is such a must…

Grayson Perry at Serpentine Galleries 8 June – 7 Sept, and the new temporary installation by Francis Kere will also be up.

Perfume at Somerset House opens 21 June – 17 Sept. Explore your senses and see how perfume has evolved over the last 20 years.

Extras

Dragon Boat Racing 25 June at the London Dragon Boat Festival.  Great fun for the whole family with a food festival too.

Henley 27 June – 2 July: I love Henley, because we’ve had the enormous privilege of watching our son row, and subsequently we always try and go for one day.  It’s the trophy they all want to win, the rowing equivalent of Wimbledon

Chelsea Fireworks Prom 16 June : Get ahead of yourselves and enjoy the outside music & firework display.

Open Garden Squares 17-18 June : Be nosey in some of London’s most beautiful hidden London squares for two days only.

Seven Dials Fashion Feast is on 10 June : The whole area becomes pedestrianised with food stalls, music, beauty makeovers, and discounts in the local shops.  It’s great fun, especially if the weather is good. Register HERE

Get mind healthy in London’s Hyde Park with Yeotown Yoga. Click HERE for details, but its yoga in the park on Monday evenings. Booking ahead essential.
