“I appreciate that riders have had a disappointing start to the season and we wanted to acknowledge that and help in a some way” confirmed Tina Ure. “In 2017 we made a sizable donation to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, and this year we have decided to reduce start fees from their usual £15-20 bracket to just £10 across the board.”
Preparations to the courses are already underway with irrigation systems already in place. Ely Eventing Centre benefits from a good grass cover on Fenland Peat. With the dry weather set to continue a programme of watering and shockwave treatment to the competition tracks and riding areas will be put into practice to offer the best going possible.
All courses will follow a different route to that of the June event and will be educational and inviting with two water crossing, ditches and steps appropriate to each level.
Childeric Saddles UK will once again return as title sponsors for the 2018 season, along with the Protexin Equine Premium Grassroots Accumulator with it’s £1500 prize fun for BE90 and BE100 competitors. June will see Little Downham included as the 4th leg of the Devoucoux BE80 Eastern Region League, that offers BE80 competitors the chance to win £500 worth of vouchers at the end of the season, as well as additional prizes along the way.
