The Jerry Green Family Dog Show
Jerry Green Dog Rescue are joining us once again at Osberton to host the very popular Family Dog Shows on both Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October. Jerry Green have been rescuing and re-homing dogs in Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire since 1961 and are successfully raising the profile of the charitable work they do. Also bringing a trade stand to Osberton, the Jerry Green team would love you to pop along for a chat to find out more about the work that they do!
Entries for the dog show are taken on the day and classes include the popular Golden Oldie for dogs 8 years old & over and annual favourite, the ‘Best Friends’ (Child Handler) class.
The Pony Club Team Show Jumping Accumulator
Osberton’s annual Pony Club Team Show Jumping competition attracted more than 70 teams last year and promises to be just as popular in 2016. With a prize pot of £500 for the Pony Club who’s teams accumulate the most points throughout the day, the fast and furious Pony Club Team competition is one not to miss!
The Grove and Rufford Parade of Hounds
Osberton’s local Fox Hound pack, The Grove and Rufford, will be joining us to parade their beautiful hounds on Sunday 2nd October. The G&R as we know them today, were formed in 1952 but have links to the Osberton Estate going as far back as 1837. We are looking forward to hosting them once again at Osberton and as ever there will be the chance for you to get up close to the hounds – just watch they don’t steal your sandwich!
The Bede Best of British Showcase
The Bede Showcase will be returning once again offering breeders, producers, owners and riders the opportunity to exhibit, promote and view tomorrow’s champions… For anybody looking for a horse, this is a great opportunity to see and try a selection of horses without travelling miles to look at individuals. There is no high pressure auction, just direct negotiations between buyers and sellers and new for this year will be an indicated price bracket. If you are selling, you will have the opportunity to showcase your horse in front of numerous potential buyers. We will provide scheduled times for you to present your horse in the arena on the flat & over fences. The British Eventing AGM
The British Eventing AGM will once again be held at Osberton on Friday 30th September. Open to ALL members, the AGM provides a review of the year and preview into the next, including team performances, financial reports, projects, areas of achievement and those with the potential for improvement. The agenda and timings of the AGM will be provided on the website in due course.
