Alison finished on 47.88 seconds with her Large pair Chip n Dale. In third was Jemma again, this time with her Small pair, Tigger & Owl on 51.31 seconds.
Celebrating what has been “an epic show” for Jemma, she said:
“I knew Alison would be quick behind me. We tried to leave a little fuel in the tank yesterday.”
“They were amazing; they ran their little hearts out and did everything I asked of them.”
Preparation for HOYS had not been plain sailing for Jemma and the 17 and 18-year-old full brother and sister, making the win even sweeter.
Jemma said:
“It was still undecided recently if Eeyore would be coming to HOYS. He was diagnosed with laminitis in March and we then found out it was Cushings so we’ve been trying to get him back to fitness. My sister has been an amazing help, as has the support of our farrier and vet.”
“It was unbelievable to come third with Tigger & Owl too.”
