Pippa Funnell: Keep supporting Willberry

If only the old adage “If I had a pound for every time…” could come true.

Why? Because on Sunday, Eleanore Kelly spoke to Pippa Funnell as she dismounted from her XC round at the St. James’s Place Barbury International Horse Trials to find out why carrying a berry pony (not the actual Willberry as he was on important business looking after Hannah) means so much to her.

Since Sunday, Pippa’s 39 second video has had nearly 50,000 views across The Gaitpost’s Facebook and Instagram feeds. Now see why we wish we had a pound…? How amazing would it have been to have posted Hannah such a whopping cheque for her charity. If only.

Here’s Pippa’s lovely piece and below are the details on how you can support Hannah.

Become a Friend of Willberry Wonder Pony.

Hannah’s dream is that the charity she set up, Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony Charity, will be her legacy and keep #kickingcancersbutt.

Please join‘Friends of Willberry’ and make an annual donation, to ensure the work of the charity in the future. To become a Friend we are asking for an annual subscription of £25 for under 18s, £50 for adults, £100 for families, £500 for companies (of course, you can give more if you can!). Your donation will make sure we can continue to support vital cancer research and grant Willberry’s Wishes to seriously ill people.

In return for your annual subscription, we will send you a special Willberry pin, two newsletters a year and, every year, we’ll draw 50 names of Friends at random, to invite them (with a guest) to a fabulous Willberry Birthday Party here in beautiful Somerset.

So, please, please think about joining our family and email our Friends team now on friends@willberrywonderpony.org to confirm your name, address, email address and subscription rate, and pay your subscription in to the Willberry bank account (account 47820004, sort code 60 21 01), with the reference fow (Friends of Willberry) and your full name (e.g.fowjohnsmith).

Thank you for now, and for years to come.
