‘Rock with RoR’ music night at Sandown Park

The evening’s headline act, Jess Glynne, has already revealed that she will be donating a portion of her fee for performing at four racecourses this summer to RoR. Her appearances form part of the ‘An Evening At The Races’ season of live concerts organised by The Jockey Club Live, who have also confirmed that they will kindly be matching Jess’s donation to the charity. 

Phil White, Sandown Park Racecourse’s General Manager, said: 

“Our Evening At The Races with Jess Glynne on 13 July promises to be a really memorable and entertaining evening. We are delighted to welcome Retraining of Racehorses for the night, in which funds are raised for a great cause. The RoR activities and the live music from world-class act Jess Glynne promises to culminate in a really special night – we’ll all be ready to rock with RoR!”

RoR Chief Executive, Di Arbuthnot said:

“This is first time that RoR has had its own race meeting to raise funds and awareness for the charity and we are very grateful to Sandown Park Racecourse for the opportunity and to Sky Bet for their support.

The aim is to raise as much money as we can, while also giving our guests and all the Sandown Park racegoers a really fun and entertaining evening. Jess Glynne’s donation to RoR is a great gesture and it is very fitting that she is performing on the night. Hopefully people will leave the track having had an amazing time and also having learned more about the versatility of racehorses and how many different options there are for horses once they have finished racing.”
