Amongst the jugglers, cheerleaders, acrobats, and marching bands participating in this annual parade on 1st January 2018, a team of 60 horses will be taking to the streets of London dressed to thrill under this show’s theme heading ‘Circus & The Showman’.

Each year the parade celebrates a particular theme. Last year’s parade celebrating famous film, TV & theatre productions and the forthcoming parade promises to offer plenty of star quality to the event featuring side-saddle riders, horse and carriages and Iberian horses with combinations dressed as medieval jesters, clowns and mime artists.

Invited for selection from all over the UK, ages range from just five years old through to equestrians in their late seventies, and all are unpaid volunteers unified in their passion for horses and bringing equestrianism to the capital! New to the parade this year will be The Dales Pony Society with their interpretation of ‘Clowns’ showcased on their eleven stunning steeds. The equestrian element of the parade starts off 11.45am at Piccadilly Circus and finishes at Parliament, with the return route back via the Horse Guards, The Mall and Buckingham Palace.

The event is free to watch, with plenty to see and keep everyone entertained.
What better way to spend New Years Day!
