In the programme Aggers and Jenny discuss why he’s chosen to learn Western style riding, the challenge of commentating on a new sport, and the welcome he’s received from all sections of the equestrian community.
Jenny Rudall commented:
“There’s something about riding side by side that creates an intimacy that draws people out of themselves in a way that you can never achieve in a more formal interview. My problem working with Aggers was that, as a life long cricket fan, I had to stay focussed on horses rather than spending the whole show talking about Test Match Special.”
Aggers added:
“It’s the longest I’ve every spent in the saddle so that was slightly eye-watering. I really enjoyed the day and I didn’t fall off – I will leave it to Horse & Country TV’s discerning viewers to decide how I’m getting on.”
Rudall Rides With Jonathan Agnew premieres on Thursday 23rd June at 9pm on Horse & Country TV, Sky Channel 253. The channel can also be watched online and on smartphones and tablets via apps with H&C Play, horseandcountry.tv/play
