Russell’s Country Store was established in 1986 as a farm diversification project by farmers Willie and May Russell under the name Woodside Farm Feeds based on the family farm near the town of Linlithgow, West Lothian.
The business concentrated on supplying animal feeds to the local area aiming at small farmers, pet owners and the equestrian sector.
As the business grew in 2001, the Russell’s took over another similar business in Larbert, Stirlingshire and the name Russell’s Country Store was adopted.
The larger premises allowed the company to expand into new product lines and provide a wider range. Hardware products, feed supplements, country clothing and a wide selection of equestrian goods were added.
