A quick trolley dash round your local supermarket will have you sorted in no time. At every picnic we have ever been to at Ascot, there has always been way too much food and who really wants warm quails eggs at the expense of some easy pickings that do the job.
So if you are asked to contribute to the picnic this year, you can do no wrong from grabbing some of our selection below. Keep it simple, make sure you stick to a theme, bread and cheese, olives and crisps, hams and quiches or scones and jam so that they compliment each other.
