Redwings annual art sale returns to raise funds for horses in need

Redwings Aylsham, north of Norwich, will be opening its doors again for art enthusiasts and Sanctuary supporters to browse and buy pieces from a wide collection of donated artwork. And best of all, entry to the visitor centre and art sale is completely free.

From classically framed works depicting traditional countryside scenes, to modern colourful pieces and wonderful photographs by amateurs and professionals alike on an eclectic range of subjects, there’s something for everyone at this year’s event.

Prices of artwork will range from £5 to £95 so there will also be something to suit every budget, plus every penny raised from the art sale will go directly towards the care of Redwings’ 1,500 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.

Anne Galloway, Redwings’ Gifts in Kind Manager, said:

“We’re delighted to be bringing back our annual art sale with another beautiful collection of donated artwork. 

“Thanks to our generous donors and buyers, last year’s sale raised over £700 which is enough money to care for all the residents at Redwings Aylsham for a day. Every penny really can make a difference so we hope as many people as possible will come along and support this year’s sale.”

If you’re a budding artist or photographer, or if you have any pre-loved paintings, sculptures or textiles tucked away, Redwings welcomes further donations of artwork to exhibit and sell at the Aylsham event. 

Donated pieces can be accepted up until Friday 24th March.
