The challenge sees a team of jump jockeys headed by Richard Johnson take on a team of flat jockeys headed by racing icon Frankie Dettori, with Pendleton riding for the former’s side after her remarkable fifth place at Cheltenham Festival earlier this year.
In preparation for the event, both Pendleton and Dettori are being trained by Rio 2016 Showjumping Gold Medal winner Nick Skelton.
All three spoke to Rupert Bell earlier, with Skelton also reflecting on a magical year in which he is hoping to be nominated for BBC Sports Personality Of The Year later on this evening.
