CHATSWORTH GALLERY: Enjoy a spin round the CCI-S 2* course

Still on a comedown from a brilliant Badminton, we were in need of a pick me up and thank goodness we didn’t have to wait long for our next eventing fix thanks to the Dodson & Horrell Chatsworth International Horse Trials.

Set in one of the most stunning locations of the season, the weather started typically British for May but ended with some much needed sunshine.

Fresh from her victory at Badminton, Piggy French won two of the four CCI-S 2* sections on Brookfield Quality and Sportsfield Top Notch before campaigning Castletown Clover in the Event Rider Masters (they later withdrew before the cross country phase). Harry Meade, after a very sad withdrawal from Badminton, achieved 3rd, 9th and 13th with his horses and it was great to see Willa Newton placed 3rd with Cavatina Tinkerbelle.
