Friday Finds for Mother’s Day

This week’s sunshine has been just the tonic as we complete the penultimate week of home schooling. The daffs are beginning to appear and everyone here, and hopefully with you, is feeling that little bit more positive about the months ahead.

I’m itching to get going in the garden. I’m behind on various plans but only I know that! Soon the tulip beds will be bursting with colour and the hours and hours of planting will have been worth it.

This week’s Finds are all curated for Mother’s Day (Sunday 14th March 2021) but are equally gorgeous gifts for a girlfriend…or a treat for you to celebrate the end of home schooling! Why not!?

Personalised gardeners’ flower seed storage box

There are seed boxes like mine – a tupperware box with a badly fitted lid – and then there are seed boxes like this pretty one which can be personalised with a message inside the lid.

£45, Bombus

Healing with Plants: The Chelsea Physic Garden Herbal

A lovely book to get lost in with tips to discover how to make your own simple herbal remedies, ideas for how to create a healing herb garden and how to forage for herbs in the wild as well as some of the histories behind the remedies.

£22, Amazon

Box of 10 Bespoke Notecards

A handwritten note remains one of the loveliest things to receive and these 100% recycled pretty cards can be personalised with an initial or name.

£28, Nibu Letterpress

This past year has been tough for handbags – I have got used to travelling light: mask, hand gel and on occasion, gloves with a credit card in my back pocket for contactless pay. I am in no hurry to lug around the bottomless pit that my handbag was accustomed to holding. Step forward the Rombo card slip from Pampeano (£29). Initial personalisation available.

Ladies Crew Jumper in Pretty Pink

We’ve been big fans of Birdie London for quite a while. Their super soft merino wool range of knitwear is perfect for fresh spring days and will take you right into summer. So many wonderful colour combos to choose from but this really caught our eye.

£100, Birdie London

Unstoppable Bracelet

For the ultimate multi-tasker, this sterling silver ‘Unstoppable’ bracelet is an amazing gift for your mum and a poignant reminder of the last year’s juggling act. Can be personalised with an initial.

£30, Not On The High Street
